Missions

Leominster Assembly of God understanding that Jesus has commanded His Church to go into all the world and preach the gospel. It is from this command of Jesus that we are committed to participate in “Missions.” It is the desire of this church that we would affect the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Leominster Assembly of God currently supports over 60 missions related works both home and abroad on a monthly basis. If you visit our church you can walk down the Hall of Missions and see these missionaries and their families.

The distinct purpose of our Missions Team is three-fold:

  1. To see that the command of Jesus in Mark 16:15. “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature,” is active at out church.
  2. To insure that the missions outreach of this local congregation is given priority in prayer, financial support and education.
  3. To inform and equip members of the congregation, helping them understand the importance of missions and their participation in the Great Commission.

HOME MISSIONS

Assemblies of God U.S. Missions is dedicated to evangelism in the United States. The six departments of U.S. Missions are Chi Alpha, Chaplaincy, Church Planting, Intercultural Ministries, Mission America Placement Services (MAPS) and Teen Challenge. Currently, 900+ missionaries and 5,000+ total field representatives serve in all 50 states.

FOREIGN MISSIONS

Assemblies of God World Missions has 1,900 appointed missionaries, 600 missionary associates and 1,500 missionary children - scattered throughout 204 countries. They work with more than 230,000 national pastors in six geographical regions - Africa, Asia Pacific, Eurasia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean and Northern Asia.

BOYS AND GIRLS MISSIONARY CRUSADE (BGMC)

BGMC is the missions education emphasis for children in the Assemblies of God. It provides resources to help teach kids about missions.

LIGHT FOR THE LOST

Light for the Lost is dedicated to spreading the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ with literature that is shipped all over the world.

SPEED THE LIGHT

Speed the Light (STL) is the student-initiated ministry that provides transportation and communications equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 150 countries around the world.
